There are many shops in Altea : shops ready to wear, craft and art shops in old Altea. The fruit market & vegetables (local products) do not miss every Tuesday morning. You fill a shopping bag with excellent vegetables a single ticket 10 €.
The restaurant, you'll be spoiled for choice. I recommend the Cafe de Paris waterfront for its tapas and its terrace on the paseo del mediterraneo. In Casco Antigo (Altea old), the Restaurant del Artist with a splendid view of the harbor and the food was very good. Finally, a restaurant just down Altea Hills (I forgot the name) where you eat a fresh and plentiful meal for only € 5.95 (entry + flat + dessert) in a nice frame, in the pool. It is not on the Riviera we find it

- Las fuentes de Algar (mountain river with swimming and canyoning practice) : paradise only 15 minutes from Altea towards Guadalest.
- Magnificent village of Guadalest with lake views to the emerald waters of Lake Castillon recalling the Verdon.
- Penyal d'Ifach (Rock of Calpe) with hiking (2h A / R) in the middle of a protected natural park (Reserve Goëlands). Early morning in August
- Boat trip to the islands Tabarca (from the port of Benidorm)
- Rent a jetski in Marina Greenwich down Altea Hills

Il est très facile de faire du vélo à Altea. Une piste cyclable longe tout le littoral d’Altea à Alfas del Pi. Un réseau de Vélib’ (bici altea http://bicialtea.labici.net/) est également disponible dans la ville. Certaines locations d’appartements situées à Altea comme celle-ci (https://alteasol.wordpress.com) mettent même à disposition des vélos pour les locataires.
